The 2012 intake has closed
Dear applicants,
Please be advised that the 2012 HCI Foundation bursary application period has closed.
If you did apply timeously for the 2012 HCI Foundation bursary application, please note the following:
I. About the registration process
1. If you are a current HCI Foundation bursary holder:- A list of current HCI Foundation bursary holders will be sent to each Institution to confirm names of bursary holders and potential recipients of a 2012 bursary. Also, we will request institutions to allow 2011 Bursary holders who successfully completed their year of study and progressed into the next year in an undergraduate programme to register with a minimum fee.
- Students will therefore be required to present their 2011 final results to the relevant authorities at the Institution who would clear their names and allow them to register with the Institution’s minimum fee requirement.
You are required to pay your own registration fees according to Institution requirements. Please note that your decision to register at the University is your choice and your responsibility and does not guarantee a bursary. There is no guarantee that you will be receiving a bursary from HCI Foundation until you receive an official award letter.
II. About your bursary application: what you should know after applying for an HCI Foundation bursary
- All notifications will be done via email; please consult your email address regularly.
- Official letter of award of bursary will be issued on 7 March 2012 but we will keep you updated on the status of your application via email.
- If you are awarded a bursary, HCI Foundation will only pay 3/4 (three-quarter) or 2/3 (Two-third) of your tuition fees according to your combined family income.
- As a graduate of our bursary programme you are not required to pay back financially to the HCI Foundation but you are encouraged to be involved in a community project of your own choice.
